If I configure my network card in linux to use DHCP then restart the networking init script, it gets stuck after showing. Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces. Reconfiguring network interfaces. But if I restart networking with the following steps dhclient -r rmmod be2net /etc/init.d/networking stop modprobe be2net /etc/init.d/networking start or just reboot the blade then everything works fine.
Also it is unable to detect any DHCP servers running in the network during PXE boot time. Most probably the NIC drivers of my hp blades are not properly configured. Diy el wire driver for mac. Please suggest a solution to this problem.
I have an HP c7000 enclosure with a BL460c G7 blade. I need to install Windows server OS on it. I have a problem with iLO, so it will not mount the ISO in the remote console. Tried using both Active-X and the Java console.
In the Active-X console i get a timeout mounting the ISO and in Java i get 'network error (java.net.socketexception socket closed)'. Anyway the real question now, while waiting for the network guys: Is there any other way to install an OS on a BL460c G7 than mounting an ISO in iLO remote console?
Can i connect a DVD ROM to a USB port or anything. Is there any way i can possibly get to read the install DVD so i can get the OS installed on the blade? There are certain ports needed in order to gain ILO and remote media access to an HP ProLiant system. The G7 systems use ILO3, so the general port cheat-sheet is: List Forwarded iLO Ports 22 Secure Shell (SSH) 23 Remote Console / telnet 80 Web Server Non-SSL (HTTP) 443 Web Server SSL (HTTPS) 3389 Terminal Services 17988 Virtual Media 9300 Shared Remote Console 17990 Console Replay 3002 Raw Serial Data In short, 23, 80, 443 and 17988 are the main ports you'll need access to in order to perform an installation through the GUI. Are you being blocked by a firewall? Do you have any way to get directly onto the ILO's network (assuming it's on a different network segment).
Proliant Bl460c G7 Firmware
I often end up using a convoluted SSH forwarding string to accomplish this at distant sites. Ssh -L 22::22 -L 23::23 -L 80::80 -L 443::443 -L 3389::3389 -L 17988::17988 -L 9300::9300 -L 17990::17990 -L 3002::3002 user@gateway There are other options, though.
You can SSH to the ILO and force it to mount a.ISO file residing at a URL. From the ILO ssh interface: vm cdrom insert followed by vm cdrom set bootonce will tell the ILO to source the.ISO from a specific location. There's also a USB/KVM dongle that can be attached directly to the blade server. On is included with each enclosure. That would allow the use of a USB DVD drive, assuming someone has physical access to the server.

I have installed from the stock ISO and the boxes ran without issue. I am not running this in production, for obvious reasons, but I never encountered an issue in the 6-ish months these boxes were up, and I ran a half dozen of them. I am not sure what part of the hardware /r/-c0de-'s experiment didn't like but aside from the warning during install about the CPU potentially being unsupported in future releases, I never ran into an issue - performance or otherwise.

The IT sector is littered with companies who don't hold stock. Their websites advertise products that are sourced from third party suppliers. Pricing and availability data on such sites is typically retrieved from files or feeds which are often not refreshed regularly enough. Cancelled orders, long lead times and disgruntled customers. Evaris is a major stockholder with full transparency into our stockholding and pricing.
Our website is refreshed on a 15-minute cycle 24/7 so the pricing and availability you see online is both accurate and reliable. We recommend you double check a cheaper price elsewhere is accurate and based on physical stock that can be shipped immediately before placing your order. Do they really have the product in stock?
We show true stock counts on our website, not woolly messages like ‘in stock' or ‘available to order'. Stock levels are updated every 15 minutes 24/7 so you can see exactly how many units we have sat in our warehouse available for immediate despatch. And speaking of shipping, did you know we offer same day deliveries? You can choose this or other timed services during checkout on our website or contact our sales team for a quote.
Handy when you need the goods in a hurry! Do they specify product condition? Most web stores fail to specify the stock condition of the products they advertise for sale. It seems reasonable to assume that all products are brand new, unused units supplied in the sealed, original manufacturer packaging and protected by the full warranty but this isn't always the case.
A heavily discounted price can be a sign that the product in question may be a used or refurbished unit. Open/damaged box and ‘ex demo' units are also rife in the marketplace and warranty cover on such goods will be variable so it's wise to check what you're getting before committing to any purchase. Evaris displays the product condition on all our product pages. As well as detailing what the condition means, we specify the level of warranty condition allowing you to make an informed buying decision. Ensure you compare like for like when shopping around for prices online.
Is the product covered by warranty? All brand new products come with a full manufacturer warranty, right? Not always; it depends where the products were sourced from. You may have heard of the grey market or parallel imports? Manufacturers often stipulate the geographical regions in which their products are designated for sale.
Unscrupulous suppliers seek to source goods from outside of these regions at cheaper costs which they pass on via cheaper prices. The downside is that the manufacturer might not honour the warranty in the event of a support call.
Grey kit does not qualify for warranty support and if it fails, you could be significantly out of pocket. All products offered for sale at Evaris are sourced from legitimate channels and are covered by warranty. For added peace of mind, we can supply serial numbers up front which can be validated on the manufacturer's website to ensure warranty cover is in place prior to purchase.
Ask any potential supplier if they can supply serial numbers ahead of purchase. Any legitimate stockholder who has sourced the goods from the proper channels should be able and happy to do so. Is the competitor trustworthy?
Look beyond the price and establish whether the company behind the product is a bona fide organisation that you can return to should you encounter issues down the line. This is particularly important if you've never heard of them before. It's relatively easy to set up a web shop nowadays which makes it difficult to differentiate between a one-man band operating out of a home office and a well-established, reputable bricks and mortar business.
Sales T&Cs, returns policy and aftercare service are probably important areas for you to consider. We are a Feefo Commended Merchant thanks to our consistently high customer service scores gathered independently from genuine purchase verified customers.
